Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano selected Felecia Rotellini for the post of Superintendent of the Arizona State Banking Department in December 2005. At the time of her appointment, Rotellini was serving as an Assistant Superintendent of the Banking Department. She succeeds Richard C. Houseworth, who retired after having held the position since 1993.

In the appointment news release the Governor stated, "Felecia served with me at the Attorney General's office, and I was very impressed with her ability to handle all aspects of banking, as well as financial fraud. I'm proud to name her to this post in the Banking Department, and I know she will continue to serve the state well in her new position."

Rotellini served as Assistant Attorney General from 1992-2005. During her years in the Arizona Attorney General's office, she investigated and prosecuted white-collar and financial fraud cases, served as chief legal counsel for the newly created Accountancy Enforcement unit, and provided legal advice and counsel to the Arizona State Banking Department. She became an Assistant Superintendent at the Arizona State Banking Department in January 2005.

Earning her law degree at the University of Notre Dame in 1986, Rotellini was an attorney in private practice in Arizona from 1986-1992. Her contributions to the Arizona community include serving as President of the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix Foundation from 1996-2000.
