CDFI Fund to Hold National Listening Session on
CDFI Bond Guarantee Program

Comprehensive Dialogue for Program Development





Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Community
Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announces a national
listening session to solicit public comment regarding the implementation
and structure of the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program, authorized by the
Small Business Jobs Act of 2010. Intended to foster discussion and
generate interest within the community development finance industry
regarding the CDFI Fund's Request for Public Comment published in the
Federal Register on July 1, 2011, the listening session will be
co-hosted by CDFI Fund Director Donna J. Gambrell and Senator Robert
Menendez (D-NJ) on September 2, 2011 in Newark, New Jersey.

The listening session will cover a range of technical and substantive
issues regarding the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program. The CDFI Fund will use
input from the session along with written comments received to formulate
the new program to enhance support for CDFIs across the country.

The CDFI Fund specifically encourages the participation of certified
CDFIs, community development trade groups and associations, and others
interested in community economic development finance to participate.
