You may have seen an email or letter alerting lenders that funding for a "USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Loan Program" could be exhausted by April. This communication related strictly to RD's SINGLE FAMILY HOUSING guaranteed loan program. It does NOT apply to the B&I (Business & Industry) guaranteed loan program. Well over $1.5 BILLION of B&I authority is still available, much of it through the Recovery Act which makes 90% guarantees and reduced fees available for business lenders. There is also ample guaranteed funding for all of RD's other guaranteed loan products such as Community Facilities (CF) and Rural Energy (REAP). So please don't be confused. In Oregon and nationwide, USDA is ready, willing and able to assist you with rural business loan guarantees through the B&I program. jeff Jeff Deiss, Business & Cooperative Program Director USDA Rural Development, Oregon State Office 1201 NE Lloyd Blvd., Ste. 801, Portland, OR 97232-1274 jeff.deiss@or.usda.gov 503-414-3367 phone; 503-414-3397 fax Visit our web site, http://www.ruralOregon.biz For energy programs, http://energy.ruralOregon.biz |
