Position Announcement (1): Credit Officer*


Position Summary

Under the management direction of the President and the strategic direction of the Board of Directors, the Credit Officer is responsible for the overall credit environment and culture of Bridgeway Capital. The Credit Officer will manage both credit underwriting for all loan products and all portfolio administration.


Responsibilities
1) Ensure that all lending by Bridgeway Capital advances the organization's mission
2) Communicate and enforce Bridgeway Capital's loan policies and procedures
3) Recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed to streamline delivery of loan products without compromising credit quality
4) Assess and monitor the credit risk of each loan product's portfolio and across entire portfolio
5) Review and approve/decline all transactions
6) Complete all credit reviews and monitor all delinquencies
7) Calculate adequacy of loan loss reserve and determine loans to be written off on a regular basis
Manage problem assets to minimize losses and maximize collateral recovery
9) Supervise Credit Analysts in loan underwriting
10) Provide regular reports to senior management
11) Call on prospects and borrowers when credit issues arise

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Participation in Commercial Credit training program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Credit Administrator/Credit Officer/Portfolio Manager in a financial environment
- In-depth knowledge of small business lending, commercial real estate, standard term loans and lines of credit, or credit policy/credit compliance
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities while managing the entire credit function in a strategic and organized manner
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid interpersonal skills with a helpful, down-to-earth demeanor
- Ability to develop strategies to handle problem loans

Position Announcement (2): Business Education Coordinator*


Position Summary

Bridgeway Capital is seeking a Business Education Coordinator to improve the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs and small business owners through enhanced education opportunities. The Business Education Coordinator will assess the needs of Bridgeway Capital's current and potential borrowers and, based on these assessments, coordinate the provision of education services to strengthen their business operations and management.


Responsibilities
1. Perform site visits to current and potential borrowers to help determine their strengths and weaknesses
2. Determine appropriate education opportunities and resources to address weaknesses identified in the business assessments
3. Recommend action plans to current and potential borrowers
4. Develop, maintain and expand relationships with business education providers
5. Work with third-party business education providers to plan and implement specialized workshops, seminars, etc. for current and potential borrowers as needed
6. Manage SBA Microloan Program Technical Assistance grant funds effectively to connect current and potential borrowers with education opportunities
7. Plan and implement mentoring program for borrowers
8. Inform current and potential borrowers about Bridgeway Capital's business education resources; develop content for e-mail newsletters distributed to borrowers
9. Measure and report results of the business education program on a regular basis

Qualifications
- Commitment to advancing Bridgeway Capital's mission
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in business environment with responsibility for managing projects
- Experience working effectively with business owners and entrepreneurs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to develop and implement plans to accomplish stated goals
- Superior ability to communicate persuasively and concisely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, both orally and in writing
- Well-organized and detail-oriented: systematic and thorough in moving multiple tasks forward to completion
- Positive and cooperative attitude
