2009 CHAM Asset Management ConferenceApril 22 - 24, 2009, San Antonio, TexasDownload event brochure and agenda (PDF, 1.7 MB)Conference Description The Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM) Asset Management Professionals’ Conference is the only professional development and networking event devoted solely to building the capacity of affordable housing asset managers. At dynamic workshops, plenary and peer-to-peer sessions, participants share ideas on basic and advanced topics in asset and property management, explore ways to strengthen professional skills, search out solutions to common problems, preview emerging issues and trends, and build relationships with their colleagues. The overall goal is to maximize the potential of today’s managers to build and maintain sound real estate portfolios that satisfy the “double bottom line.” Who Should Attend? * CDC and non profit executive directors, finance directors and asset and property managers * Public Housing Authority/State Housing Finance Authority/Agency representatives* Enterprise, LISC, and NeighborWorks® America staff* Industry experts, lenders and funders What People Said about the 2007 Conference* The presenters and moderators were very knowledgeable and were able to explain their topics in a way that even the newest attendee could understand. * This was my first CHAM conference * very useful information! I will definitely return! * It was great to be around so many people that spoke the “asset management” language! Great conference! * This was a no-schmooze, 100% content-filled conference. All sessions were right on target, and full of useful, and often leading edge, information. * Well organized. Professional. Good presentations. Panels usually make me snooze, but these didn’t. * This conference gave me the opportunity to meet with experts in my industry. Through educational sessions and networking events, I was able to get solutions to some of the toughest challenges I have in my portfolios. I will definitely be back next year, prepared with a list of topics I want to discuss with my peers. * I see ways that I can add and or assist our organization and what can’t be used there can be delivered by me to the community. I will be more valuable to our consumers directly and feel good about being able to do so. Thank you so much! * CHAM is the one conference I consider the most important to attend each year.
