Tulip Cooperative Credit Union's mission is to fight poverty and promote
social responsibility by bridging the gap between low income and more
affluent people. Tulip links low-income members with the financial products,
services and education necessary for financial independence. At the same
time, it offers more affluent members the opportunity for community
investment through the loans and deposits they make with Tulip. Members

Tulip is seeking a General Manager/CEO. This is an exceptional opportunity
for an experienced marketer, business developer, credit union manager or
financial executive. Tulip is now in its fifth year and is experiencing
dynamic growth and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Tulip
currently has a strong operations manager who will continue to run the day
to day operations. The CEO is expected to concentrate on business
development. This position requires a self-motivated person whose primary
role will be to execute the vision developed in conjunction with the Board
to increase revenue.

With a membership of over 1,100 receiving vital financial services, it is
critical the new CEO be flexible and understanding of the trials and
tribulations of a growing operation in these interesting times. This is a
salaried fulltime position with a minimum of 30 hours per week and requires
some evenings and weekends. The CEO reports to and works directly with the
Board.

General Manager/CEO is expected to do the following: (specific job duties,
priorities and performance expectations are detailed in the individual
performance plan)
* Meet annual goals and evaluate effectiveness of all operations; such
as increasing loan volume through increasing membership base and the
development and implementation of new services
* Maintains effective relationships with the public, government
officials, trade organizations, and the presidents of other credit unions.
Acts as the principal representative of the Credit Union Coordinate
activities through staff and appraise personnel
* Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for Credit Union
activities
* Ensure prudent and compliant lending/operational policies,
procedures and meaningful community impact
* Responsibly manage investments to maximize both financial and social
returns.
* Develop organizational structure and lead a pleasant and productive
personnel team

The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
* Experience working with a Board or as part of a team
* Business development, credit union or related financial institution
experience
* Awareness of low-income issues
* Able to function well in smaller operation lacking the systems and
resources of a large financial institution with economies of scale
* Willing to push hard to grow the institution by marketing directly
to prospective new members, nonmembers, stakeholders and grantors
* Experience scaling an organization to accommodate growth

Minimum requirements, experience and skills:
* Bachelors degree emphasis in business or finance preferred or
equivalent work experience
* Ability to effectively and productively communicate and coordinate
with staff, Board and other stakeholders
* Multiple years of managerial experience or relevant work experience
