The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (NFCDCU) is a 27-year-old nonprofit organization serving low-income and minority credit unions, providing advocacy, capital, technical support, professional development, and other services. NFCDCU is a founding member of the Coalition of Community Development Financial Institutions and is a certified CDFI. We have a position immediately available for a Research Officer. Overview of Position

To expand NFCDCU’s member services and support our advocacy, investment, training and other activities, we are establishing a research unit, which will serve as the primary source of authoritative data and statistics on the community development credit union movement. The Research Officer will collect, compile and analyze quantitative data on the CDCU movement as a whole, as well as conduct in-depth research and prepare case studies on particular segments of the credit union movement. As necessary, the Research Officer will compile data on economic and financial trends, and banking and financial service changes affecting CDCUs and the low-income communities they serve.

Compensation: Competitive, depending on experience. Excellent fringe benefits, including company-paid health, dental, vision.

Location: New York City (Wall Street). Some telecommuting possible.
