POSTION:* Manager of Lending
*
This is a full-time management position located in our new offices at the Open Square complex on the canal in Holyoke.* The position pays $50,000- $65,000 and provides benefits as described in the Western Massachusetts Enterprise Fund (WMEF) Employee Handbook.* The Manager of Lending will report to the Director of Lending and will support all aspects of the WMEF Loan Program.*

QUALIFICATIONS:
*

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• Experience in commercial and/or community lending.
• Ability to conduct due diligence and to evaluate credit worthiness.
• Experience managing a loan portfolio and preparing credit memos.
• Capacity to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies.
• Responsive to the needs of our client.
• Experience in managing staff, hiring and evaluating.
• Must be creative, flexible and a team player.
• Willingness to grow into the Director of Lending position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*

• Reviews loan applications, performs due diligence, prepares credit memos and makes presentations to loan committee.* Orders and reviews loan documentation and conducts closings.* In addition, supervises lending administrator and micro program manager.
• Maintains the aging of the portfolio within industry standards and manages all work out and collection activities in coordination with the Director of Finance and under the supervision of the Director of Lending.
• Represents WMEF at appropriate public meetings to market programs.* Participates in the design of the annual marketing plan as part of the marketing team.
• Provides oversight of pre-loan and post loan technical assistance and training services including those provided by WMEF staff and those provided by contracted personnel.
• Monitors and ensures that all loan documents, including lending and portfolio policies and procedures are safeguarded and that all files and all lending records are up to date.*
• Exercises good judgment in all aspects of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position.* Demonstrate professional, considerate, cooperative and constructive attitudes and behaviors when working with other staff members, loan clients, Board members, and the general public.
• Maintains the confidentiality of agency, client, and staff information.
• Understands and accepts some unpredictability as the nature of the job.
