Default Tax credits

Does anyone know of an organization which offers a course and/or seminar in
tax credits for community development corporations?

Try Pratt Institute Center for Community and Economic Development (PICCED).
They have a series of seminars on various topics of interest to community
groups. A contact there is Rudy Bryant, 718-636-6431. The seminars travel
around New York state, with some upstate and some in Manhattan. Pratt is
based in Brooklyn. I've attended several seminars on other topics and they
tend to be excellent.

Most tax credits for community development corporations are state legislated
programs. For example, Missouri is perhaps the most prolific with around 34
tax credit programs, many of which could be used by a CDC. Just a
suggestion - try contacting the department responsible for community,
commerce or economic development in your state.

The best information on training in the use of federal tax credit programs
is probably the training calendar maintained by HUDUSER (www.huduser.org).
