Default VISTA Position with economic justice organization

AMERICORPS*VISTA POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project (NEDAP) seeks a highly
motivated VISTA volunteer to coordinate outreach in four New York City
neighborhoods on access to credit and economic development issues. The VISTA
volunteer will conduct in-depth community reinvestment needs assessments,
convene a series of community forums, and develop training material and other
resources relating to access to credit and economic development.
Requirements and qualifications include excellent verbal and written skills,
demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice, and experience in
working with community groups.

NEDAP is a resource center that provides technical and legal assistance to
grassroots groups working for economic justice in New York City's low income
communities and communities of color. The full-time position begins in June
1999, and offers a living stipend, as well as health insurance, ongoing
training opportunities, education award or cash stipend, and excellent work
