"Setting up a Local Social Investment Fund"
Background - Some Practical Steps - Signposts to Help and Information
Edited by Martin Hockly, written by Danyal Sattar, 48 pages, January 1999

This UK focused guide, aimed at those considering setting up a local social
investment fund in the UK, is now available.

The guide is based on the experience of Aston Reinvestment Trust and
Industrial Common Ownership Finance in the UK. It covers some of the
policy issues behind local social investment funds, outlines the steps to
setting up a local social investment fund and gives some brief case study
material on existing examples, as well as contact details, networks and key
organisations in the field at a local and national level.

It reflects the early stages of the development of these kinds of vehicles
in the UK, and is not intended to be like the more definative and
substantive kind of documentation that is available in the US for that
area.

- Cost 40 pounds sterling
- Available from icof@icof.co.uk Industrial Common Ownership Finance, 115
Hamsted Road, Birmingham, B20 2BT, England UK. Tel +44 121 523 6886 Fax
