Default Underwriting Small Business Loans - Distance Learning 2/26-2

National Community Capital Association will be offering this course for community development* individuals involved in small business lending. *This distance learning course will enable you to analyze and understand the financials of for-profit businesses, describe the ‘5Cs’ of credit and the additional factor of community benefit applied in small business development, demonstrate appropriate skills in key steps of the underwriting process, apply a standard framework to the entire underwriting process, and transfer improved underwriting skills to your CDFI’s day-to-day operations. The course encompasses lecture, case studies, group discussions and example documents and histories to facilitate your learning. An Excel template is included, usable for spreading financials of your small business loan applicants.
*Is this course for you? If you are involved in small business lending at your organization or if your organization is adding small business lending to its work and you wish to learn sound, fundamental approaches to this work from an expert in our industry and from your peers in class discussions and breakouts, this course is for you.
*Held two hours per day (1-3:00 PM EST)* for three days.
