Default Full-time temporary job openings

<!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> ACCION New York is a* non-profit, city-wide micro lender dedicated to providing loans to low income, self-employed individuals who have limited or no access to traditional business credit.** Through our lending and other services, we help micro entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, stabilize their incomes, create additional employment and contribute to the economic revitalization of their communities.
We are seeking individuals to fill two temporary positions on an immediate basis:
1. Technical Assistance Advisor. This candidate should be bilingual (Spanish/English) and have either run his/her own business or have business consulting experience, preferably with small businesses. The candidate will work on a one-on-one basis with a portfolio of clients located throughout the five boroughs to provide book keeping, marketing and other forms of assistance as well as make referrals to other providers. The candidate will be supported by the service center team. Compensation will be on an hourly basis. We are seeking a six month commitment.
2. American Dream Fund (ADF) Administrator. Following 9/11, ACCION launched its ADF to assist small businesses affected by the terrorist attacks. We are seeking someone to manage the administrative work associated with the program: client data entry, generation of all legal documents, reporting to governmental agencies, disbursing funds to the client, etc. The candidate should have prior administrative work experience, preferably in a financial or lending context. Spanish is a plus. Compensation is on a hourly basis. We are seeking a three month commitment.
Both positions provide the opportunity to learn about micro credit and to contribute to the development of ACCION's programs.
Interested candidates should send resumes and cover letters to:
Jean Hamerman, Director of Lending Operations at jhamerman@accionnewyork.org.
