October 5, 2004 Job Announcement:* Senior Program Finance Officer, Rudolf Steiner Foundation Rudolf Steiner Foundation (RSF) is a highly unique and innovative nonprofit financial and educational services organization.* Located in the beautiful and historic Presidio of San Francisco, RSF supports a broad range of mostly nonprofit, mission-related projects in the fields of education, the arts, the environment, sustainable agriculture, health and spiritual renewal. Primary services include RSF’s lending program, advisory and educational services, philanthropic and investment fund management services and grant-making. RSF’s lending program is run by the Program Finance Office (PFO), which is currently seeking to fill the position of Senior Program Finance Officer.* This is a key leadership position within the PFO and RSF, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone aspiring to apply his/her significant professional experience, creative capacity, commercial lending expertise and deep relationship skills to support a social mission dedicated to a more just and sustainable world. The position reports to the Director of Program Finance, joining a team of five other professionals managing RSF’s $40M lending program covering 56 projects nation-wide, from origination through to closing and portfolio servicing, with a heavy emphasis on client relationship management and business development. Primary responsibilities of the Senior Program Finance Officer include loan origination, including business development, product development and market research, financial structuring, due diligence and recommendation of financings for approval, oversite of the loan documentation and closing process and ongoing client relationship management responsibilities.* The majority of our loans are facilities financings including construction loans to a broad variety of very interesting projects, which therefore requires good familiarity with cash flow based lending analyses and structuring.* However, RSF’s willingness and capacity to be creative enables us to provide many other unique forms of financing. This, coupled with RSF’s recent significant growth, translates into an ideal opportunity for the right candidate. The successful candidate will have: ·****** A minimum of 3-5 years relevant commercial transaction lending experience, including cash flow based credit analysis skills, ideally familiar with both for-profit and non-profit borrowers, and commercial loan structuring experience, ideally with some experience in the community lending / development field. ·****** MBA preferred, or a business Administration / Finance Undergraduate degree. ·****** Professional experience working for / with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations; ·****** Strong supervisory and mentoring skills to work with our team analyst and others; ·****** Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong time management skills and keen initiative. ·****** Last, but far from least, we are seeking someone with a truly open, enthusiastic, curious and helpful spirit, deeply interested in the quality and nature of human relationship, and issues of social importance.
