Loan Fund Director Exciting Opportunity to lead a statewide business loan fund into the next decade. Community Capital is a nonprofit community-based lender and Community Development Financial Institution offering flexible financing and follow-up technical assistance to micro and small business owners throughout Vermont who do not yet qualify for traditional bank financing. Candidates must have a record of excellence, proven capabilities in strategic planning and fundraising, the ability to be independent and creative, and the flexibility to lead and work through a team. Candidates must also have experience with business and/or lending, working with a Board of Directors, excellent attention to detail, experience with financial and information management systems, excellent written and oral communications skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated sensitivity to the challenges faced by low income individuals seeking to become economically self-sufficient and have experience working with public grant programs, be able to follow regulations, supervise staff, and file reports. The position is based in Barre. Periodic travel throughout Vermont and some evening work may be required.
