SalaryRange: $35,000-$42,000 DOE

General Summary:* The Program Manager for Microbusiness Development is responsible for development and implementation of activities related to Isles business training, business technical assistance, mentoring and loan programs.* Isles microbusiness program provides comprehensive business development services for low and moderate income individuals in Mercer County, with a focus on women and people with disabilities.* The Program Manager for Microbusiness development is a full-time position located in beautiful Trenton, NJ.

Essential Functions:

1.***** Coordinate business training activities including outreach, intake, 10 week business training and post-training support.
2.***** Manage business development services for business training graduates and general public which includes development and scheduling of BDS seminars, provision of 1:1 business counseling as needed to program participants and the management of outside volunteers for additional 1:1 consulting/networking.
3.***** Develop and manage loan program services (both peer lending groups and direct loan program).* Loan functions also require the maintenance of accurate and complete files on all loans underwritten and approved, constructive and positive working relationships with loan applicants, borrowers, and banks, and the negotiation of any past due collections, workouts and default situations.
4.***** Support development and management of volunteer program.
5.***** Coordinate yearly program evaluation process.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:
18 years of age
B.A. or equivalent experience in business, social work, microeconomics, community development, public administration and/or political science Excellent written and oral communication skills
Valid Drivers license and vehicle
Proficient in use of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) software
Experience working with low-income and/or people of color

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with microbusiness programs, especially group lending.
Experience in business lending.
1+ years experience teaching, group facilitation and/or training for adults.
