JOB POSTING: NCB DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Position: Credit Analyst, Community Development/Consumer & Worker Co-ops
Team

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the team coordinator and team lenders, the credit
analyst reviews, recommends and monitors team investments in
consumer/worker cooperatives, and other community economic development
organizations nationwide.

Reporting Relationships:
The Credit Analyst will report directly to the Team Coordinator, and will
be supported by (although will not directly supervise) customer account
representatives, servicing and documentation specialists, and
administrative assistants in both Washington, DC and Oakland, CA offices.

Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis of prospective and existing borrowers/investees.
- Underwriting - Analyzing potential loans, identifying information gaps,
identifying risks, communicating with borrowers as to information gaps and
risks, gathering of information, and assembling this body of information
coherently in a loan package, under the direction of a loan officer.
- Performance of regular credit reviews on existing borrowers/investees.
- Reviewing and commenting on incoming financial statements from existing
borrowers.
- Performance of research functions within various industries within the
NF/CD team.
- General support to loan officers/team coordinator in communication with
customers.
- May independently manage relationships with existing customers on
smaller, lower-risk transactions.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. Minimum 2 years experience with community development
lending or related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills
required. Must be an independent self-starter with excellent multi-tasking
skills. Must be computer literate. Must be willing to travel. Completion
of a formal credit training program preferred but not mandatory. Master's
degree in business, community/urban planning, public policy or related
field preferred. Sales, marketing, or PR experience a plus.
