Hello, Adam Theo here;
thank you all for this list. i have been subscribed for a few days now, and have been reading the posts that come through. i am interested in learning more about the banking industry, and the various banking systems used in the world. i have done various searches on the internet to find information on this, but have not found very much. does anyone have any reccomendations for websites or books for beginners learning about the banking industry primarily in the US, but also the various systems through-out the world? thank you all. -- Adam Theo adamtheo@zdnetonebox.com - email 1 (404) 978 1263 x2974 - voicemail/fax Proudly Running Linux (Mandrake) __________________________________________________ _________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com This post transferred from the cdb-l mailing list |

Hi. I am attaching a list of banking related internet sites that recently appeared in our quarterly newsletter. It is not as well laid out as the published version since I did the original in Tables (Word 6). Unfortunately, the URL's are not hyperlinked to the web sites since we only recently moved up to Office 2000. It should give you some places to start. Each of the four bank regulatory agencies has a web site. The OCC site has some information on the history of banking, as the the US Treasury's Learning Vault. For current information, go to the FFIEC, the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council's site. PS I can't guarantee all the URL's still work, I haven't checked them for a couple of months, but most of them should.
