The Institute for Social and Economic Development, (www.ised.org), seeks a
full-time, permanent, highly visible senior Microenterprise Consultant
within the industry to provide consultation services to agencies across the
United States with possible international opportunities. This is a staff
position with competitive salary based on experience. EOE

Requires:
1) experience in managing a microenterprise program, preferably including a
loan portfolio,
2) strong network of associations and contacts within the micro-finance
industry,
3) high level knowledge about trends, policy, and operating challenges in
the industry,
4) ability to identify contract opportunities and write proposals,
5) able to produce papers and client tools that are widely distributed,
6) possesses highly effective development skills,
7) budget development and management capabilities,
supervisory and management responsibilities, as assigned,
9) consulting and training experience,
10) enjoys a results-oriented work environment,
11) demonstrate intercultural competence with diverse nationality and
ethnic groups,
12) strong writing and computer skills,
13) willingness and availability for extensive travel,
14) ability to work independently and as part of a team,
15) direct experience in operating a small business, preferred,
15) willingness to relocate to Washington, DC based office.
