Position: Program Manager, full time Location: Atlanta, GA; some statewide travel About Us: The Center for Financial Independence and Innovation (CFII) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and their family members advance their financial independence and security. About the Position: The Program Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of four core programs of CFII: 1) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, 2) Asset Alliance of Georgia, and 3) Financial Education, and 4) Pilot IDA project. Main duties and responsibilities include: General Outreach & Education - Conduct educational outreach and presentations at meetings, conferences, and community events - Provide outreach and education in a welcoming, accessible, and appropriate manner - Inform consumers, service providers, and other community members about CFII's services - Maintain detailed records of all grant-related activities, including number of outreach events, number of in-person connections, etc - Educate consumers and community members about ways to become involved with CFII Financial Education - Planning and delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization and in line grant requirements - Developing financial education workshop curriculum and presenting material at various sites throughout community; coordinating with local disability organizations and advocacy groups to attract new program participants - Promote, schedule and conduct financial education workshops for individuals with disabilities, their family members, and service providers - Develop/augment financial education workshop curricula - Assist with fundraising to leverage additional funding for the program and to report on program outcomes for current funders Asset Development - Assist Executive Director in planning Quarterly Asset Alliance meetings - Serve as the point of contact for the Asset Alliance members Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program - Attend IRS VITA site coordinator training sessions - Able to be certified at the Advanced Level for VITA volunteers - Recruit and coordinate VITA volunteers (tax preparers, greeters) - Coordinate VITA operations with contact persons at each mobile site location - Organize volunteer recognition event Minimum REQUIRED Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from Accredited College or University - 2 years relevant work/volunteer experience - Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Georgia with occasional overnight stays; some evening and weekend work may be required - Able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Applicant must be able to manage multiple projects and be a self-starter - Applicant must adhere to strict standards of confidentiality Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience as a VITA volunteer or site coordinator - Knowledge of basic financial education topics - Strong interpersonal communication skills - Strong public speaking/presentation skills - Able to develop and adhere to project work plans - Flexible to meet community needs and timeframes - Personal or professional experience with the disability community Salary range $33,000-$38,000 DOE People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
