The 2007 Annual Conference of the Community Development Venture Capital
Alliance is coming up soon, on Thursday and Friday, March 22 and 23. An introductory workshop entitled An Introduction to Community Development Venture Capital precedes the conference on Wednesday, March 21. If you have not already done so, please register for the conference as soon as possible at www.cdvca.org. All registrations this year will be on line. Be sure to make your hotel reservation by WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 to guarantee the group rate and availability at the hotel. The community development venture capital industry is operating in a new and more hopeful policy environment this year. Our long-time legislative champions are now the heads of committees in both the House and the Senate. In addition to the nuts and bolts venture capital sessions that you have come to expect at CDVCA conferences, we will hear from policy makers who may be changing the landscape in which the CDVC industry operates. This is an important time to lean about opportunities in the new policy environment, to let your voice be heard on Capitol Hill, as well as to catch up with trends and friends in the CDVC industry. The conference will be held at the Phoenix Park Hotel in Washington, DC. We have reserved a block of sleeping rooms for attendees. Please call the hotel at 1-800-824-5419 or 1-202-638-6900 or visit their website www.phoenixparkhotel.com and entering the internet group code 30885. Identify yourself as a member of CVCA or ask for Booking Code 10213 in order to receive the group rate. We look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC.
