Hi All:

Happy Tuesday from Fresno, CA!!

Question: Have you had any experience with an organization called "Legal Shield" and them wanting to help clients with credit repair and legal representation? A quick Google search shows them to be affiliated with Pre-Paid Legal.

Thanks,

I know someone who is a an area agent for Legal Shield. Their pitch was as
an overall legal service to small businesses and individuals on a prepaid
basis for contracts, document review, legal representation for non criminal
legal actions. They apparently have a network of agents around the country
who cover identified territories. I didn't get the sense that credit repair
was a dominant part of the business, as least from this individual.

I have used Pre-Paid Legal, now renamed to Legal Shield effective Nov 2011,
for various individual legal matters since 2003.

Legal Shield links it's customer up with regular legal firms, most of whom
provide comprehensive legal coverage. In my case I am linked to Parker
Sainsbury LLC http://www.parkstan.com/about.html ('http://www.parkstan.com/about.html') a respected outfit with 5
partners and 51 associates. Initially I used them to draft a moderately
complicated will (free of charge) and have subsequently used them to help
out when my college kids have got themselves into various levels of minor
trouble. I have also used them to review legal documents, offers of
employment, Non-Disclosure agreements, etc, and have found them to be
responsive and willing.

All of the above comes at a cost of $16 per month. If the consultation or
lawyers time exceeds a couple of hours, they will quote for services - their
services are not open ended.

You can call me a satisfied customer. My initial expectations where low, but
they have been worth the $192 per year.
