Federal Reserve Community Affairs Research Conference, April 28-29, 2011,
at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.

Economic recovery ? particularly for lower-income communities ? will
require multi-faceted solutions at both the individual and neighborhood
level. Learn from researchers as they share new insights into consumers?
financial decisions, neighborhood stabilization strategies, sustainability
and urban food markets, the connections between community development and

Bostic, Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research, US
Department of Housing and Urban Development; Jared Bernstein, Chief
Economist and Economic Policy Adviser to Vice President Joseph Biden;
Vicki Been, Director, Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy at
NYU; John Caskey, author of Fringe Banking: Check-Cashing Outlets,
Pawnshops, and the Poor; Elsie Meeks, State Director of the USDA Rural
Development in South Dakota; and John Williams, recently appointed
President of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
