I have several questions for all of you with experience in (business)
community development loan funds:
1) Regarding the debt capitalization of a community development loan fund
from foundation PRIs, commercial banks, etc., are there fairly typical
repayment terms? How common is interest-only capitalization?
2) Among the interest rates community development loan funds charge their
borrowers, what are most common: variable, variable with caps and floors,
or fixed interest rates?
I'm sure each of these factors is variable and situation specific, but I'm
more so trying to understand general trends.
