Accion USA is recruiting for a Development Officer. Please see the

Development Officer, ACCION USA, New York, New York (Salary range 50 to
60K DOE)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Development Officer is responsible for providing fundraising,
administrative, and other support as needed to the Resource Development
team, the VP of Resource Development, and the President & CEO. Key
duties and responsibilities include:
* Prepare proposals and reports for foundation, corporate, and
public funders.
* Maintain stewardship of foundation, corporate, government, and
individual funders.
* Provide regular updates to the proposal and reporting schedule
and the revenue status report.
* Act as a liaison with lending team to monitor progress against
stated proposal goals.
* Research corporate, foundation, and individual donor prospects
and provide additional support..
* Work closely with senior level management from concept to final
outcome in strategic fundraising activities.
* Work closely with the Marketing team on communication projects,
mailings, and donor-related activities.
* Assist with special projects, including site visits, events,
etc.
* Manage the charity registration and certification to do
business registrations for the organization.
* Manage Board for ACCION USA's program in Atlanta and attend
quarterly Board meetings).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Excellent writing and editing skills
3-5 yrs experience in grant proposal writing and fundraising with a CDFI
or similar organization
Strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for research
Highly self-motivated
Deadline-driven
Detail-oriented
Demonstrated written and oral English language skills and ability to
communicate ideas effectively
Ability to synthesize materials into simple, clear and concise language
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish and
implement organizational systems
Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals, including
donors, volunteers and staff
Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Raiser's
Edge a plus
