Good morning,
Laughlin Memorial Chapel & Community Center is providing service
opportunities in West Virginia. They can accommodate large groups who
have the desire to serve the area's poor as well as victims of natural
disaster.
Service site examples include:
Housing Rehabilitation - Work to restore dilapidated housing in East
Wheeling
Laughlin Chapel Afterschool/Summer School - Tutor and mentor in K-12
programs, directed at low-income and at-risk youth
Catholic Neighborhood Center - Prepare, serve, and deliver meals to
homeless and homebound in the Wheeling area.
YWCA - Help to sustain the most active family violence prevention
program in the area through housekeeping and repair projects
Community Gardens - Assist with the successful East Wheeling urban
agriculture program and its upcoming greenhouse project
Appalachian Outreach - Help relieve the immediate needs of natural
disaster victims throughout West Virginia
