Good morning,

My name is Jason George. I am an undergraduate student in the Gemstone Program at the University of Maryland College Park. The Gemstone Program allows undergraduates to form teams late in their Freshman year to conduct group research and write a senior thesis. My group, ANSWER Poverty, over the last three years has been studying the financial needs of Latino immigrants in Langley Park, a community adjacent to College Park.

Later this month we hope to create shorter documents for those who may not have time to delve through a full thesis.(We plan to create a document that is 10 pages or so and a one page executive summary).

If you would like to receive a copy of our thesis or would like to discuss our research, please contact me at this address, and either I or one of my team members will respond.

Sincerely,

Jason

Hello Jason,

My name is Hassan Nicholas. I am currently finalizing a financial
literacy project through a social-marketing campaign here in Southern
California called "Bank on LA". We work with a network of banks,
credit unions, community banks, community organizations, as well as
the Mayor's Office to encourage the "unbanked" to delve into the
financial sector. Our overall aim to is to introduce disinvested
communities to more "sophisticated" and suitable financial services
rather then overwhelming reliance on fringe financial services and
cash. One of our main target groups are Latino immigrants. I would be
greatly interested in your research.

Feel free to to learn about our campaign through the following links:
