Senior Credit Analyst

This position will develop and analyze all types of credit information
pertaining to diverse types of commercial loans and borrowers for use
by the Relationship Managers, Credit Administration Manager, Chief
Lending Officer, and the Directors Loan Committee in making credit
decisions.
The Senior Credit Analyst shall perform a variety of duties to include:
spreading and analyzing a customer's financial information, assessing
the collateral, performing a delinquency review, conducting industry
comparisons, assessing the risk rating, and preparing the business,
personal and global debt service coverage calculations. Written
presentations are then prepared that detail the findings of the
analysis. The Senior Credit Analyst shall provide additional support as
directed by the Credit Administration Manager and Chief Lending Officer.
The Senior Credit Analyst shall assist in the training and coaching of
junior Credit Analysts.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business,
economics, finance, or equivalent combination of training and experience
and a minimum 4-6 years experience in Banking in credit
analyst/underwriting capacity and strong oral, written, and composition
skills. Formal credit training is strongly preferred. The following
knowledge and expertise is also required:
* Knowledge of commercial, construction, and real estate loan
transactions.
* Knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance
regulations and other bank lending policies.
* Organized, detail oriented, ability to articulate matters over
the phone or in person, capable of working independently, has the
ability to plan, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work with some
supervision while performing most duties.
* Strong ability to interact proactively with all levels of the
organization.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of loan documentation.
* Solid knowledge of and skills in personal computer operation,
word processing, and spreadsheet software.
