*Wall Street Without Walls (WSWW)* connects traditional institutions and
financial products of the capital markets with community based development
organizations engaged in the diverse work of community economic development
in low- and moderate-wealth communities both urban and rural. More

The* Operations Associate* position supports the activities of our senior
staff within our headquarters in Dupont circle in Washington, DC. This is a
40 hours per week position.



This person will provide support services to the CEO, The Managing Director,
the Director of Projects, and our Project Associates. The work will be about
50% logistical support, and 50% project-focused. This person will report to
the Director of Projects. Occasional travel (1 to 3 days a month) may be
involved.



*Tasks and Qualities*

· Project support for Director of Projects.

· General administrative support for CEO and Managing Director.

· Interact professionally with Executive Directors, CEOs, and
Investment Bankers.

· Maintain task lists for senior staff and project associates
through projects database. We work with over thirty projects at a time. (If
you are the kind of person who needs to know in advance what your day will
be like, this job is not for you.)

· Maintain calendars, schedule meetings and manage travel schedules.


· Design and produce reports for internal and external use.

· Track reporting requirements for foundation grants received.

· Provide meeting and project related logistical support.

· Maintain national contact list and database.

· Maintain and update website using a content management system.

· Prepare reports and basic correspondence. This will include
summarizing projects and 10+ page transcriptions into a 2-3 paragraph email.


· Other duties as assigned.



*Skills*

· Excellent spoken and written English language skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. (Up to
Office 2003).

· Knowledge of Filemaker Pro, Central Desktop Intranet, HTML, and/or
CitySoft's Community Enterprise Content Management System are not required,
but would be a plus.

· Basic typing skills required (30 wpm). The ability to do real-time
transcription would be a plus.

· Knowledge of Community Development Finance in the USA would be a
plus. Interest in the same is a requirement.



*Salary*

· This position will pay between $30-$40,000 per year in salary and
benefits, depending on experience.
