to provide banking services to individuals, small to medium- size

We are seeking a seasoned banker who has solid business development
skills combined with excellent credit skills. Ideal candidate will have
existing clients and contacts in our market area and will have proven
success with non-profits, "green" industries, religious organizations
and on commercial real estate transactions. Responsible for contributing
to unit's growth and profitability. Develops and retains business
relationships by meeting the financial needs of commercial clients.
Develops loans, depository accounts, cash management and other fee
generating services. Responsible for new business development and/or
portfolio management. Demonstrated sales success in building and
managing a commercially focused portfolio.
Position Accountabilities
1. Supports bank growth and profitability through effective calling on
existing and potential customers. Identifies business needs and
corresponding sales opportunities bank wide.
2. Works closely with Treasury/Cash Management and other major areas of
the Bank to promote the sales and implementation of complex financial
products and services.
3. Interviews loan applicants to analyze their business needs, abilities
and earnings to determine if a loan is an acceptable risk.
4. Obtains and analyzes all necessary financial data.
5. Reviews credit background of companies and guarantors.
6. Prepares formal presentations for existing and prospective customers.
7. Prepares credit proposals including developing pro-forma analyses and
narrative portion of Credit Presentation.
8. Reviews documentation for all loans to ensure perfection of the
Bank's security interest in compliance with regulatory, legal and bank
requirements.
9. Makes approval decisions on loans and terms within own lending
limits. Makes recommendations to appropriate lending authority.
10. Negotiates terms and conditions of loan with applicants.
11. Identifies, classifies and monitors problems or potential problem
loans in compliance with the internal credit review policy.
12. Attempts to collect accounts that are delinquent. Negotiates payment
schedules and obtains proper pre-approval if required.
13. Interacts with commercial loan servicing/operations, appraisal,
legal and other related Bank personnel regarding issues of quality,
pricing, risk and other issues.
14. Issues status reports on assigned projects
15. Provides industry analysis as needed.
16. Promotes satisfactory relations both internally and externally as
required.
17. Keeps abreast of economic and political factors that might impact
clients and client relationships.
Job Specifications
Req Education or Equivalent Experience
* Bachelor's Degree
* Vocational/Specialized Training
Required Experience
* Five to ten years of business development and commercial credit
related experience.
Field of Experience
* Complete knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures,
practices and documentation (including accounting, financial statements
and cash flow analysis). Complete knowledge of bank products and
services used by commercial customers. Demonstrated sales and/or
portfolio management ability. Complete knowledge of asset based and
trade finance lending. Bilingual (Spanish, Vietnamese,
Cantonese/Mandarin) desired.
Proven experience developing and closing real estate deals and working
with not-for-profits and religious organizations.
