<!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> Marcello:
Greetings.* We do not have a book however I can recommend the following:
1.* Visit the website of the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) at:
www.microenterpriseworks.org
and go to the right hand side of the home page and click on "New Microenterprise Fact Sheets" and you will find a series of 6 very practical fact sheets on various aspects of microenterprise development.
2.* At the same website, click on "Links" on the left side of the home page and go to the reference for the "International Labour Organization (ILO) " and follow the hot link to the ILO website and you will find references to the series of microenterprise studies that the ILO has been developing for many European countries.
I hope this is helpful.

Marcello:
*
A good place to start for microenterprise in Western countries (US and Europe mainly) would be AEO's website: www.microenterpriseworks.org (http://www.microenterpriseworks.orgwould)
For microenterprise in developing countries I would recommend the Consultative Group to Assist the Poorest Website: www.cgap.org (http://www.cgap.org)
*
I would recommend one of two books:
*
1.* The New World of Microenterprise Finance by Maria Otero and Beth Rhyne
*
This book is a bit older, but is a wonderful introduction to many important issues in microfinance and the financial systems approach.
*
2.* The Microfinance Handbook by Joanna Ledgerwood
*
This book is a bit more dense - probably not the ideal choice if you are just starting to learn about microfinance, but an excellent reference if you already know a bit about microfinance.
*
For references on peer group formation, you might want to check out the Women's Opportunity Fund's Trust Bank Manual, available for purchase at: http://www.womensopportunityfund.org/
*
Another good resource is the MicroStart Guide, available online at: http://www.uncdf.org/sum/mcst/contents.html
*
Finally, the ILO has just published a number of publications on microfinance in developing countries.* For more information, see their website at: http://www.ilo.org/public/english/employment/finance/ap_papers.htm
*
Best of luck!
