CDFI Board Designated for Lending Capital

Our CDFI is debating the pros and cons of having the board designate additional parts of our unrestricted capital for lending.* Some prospective investors seem to value the amount of unrestricted equity while others want to know specifically how much will go into lending.* Thoughts from other CDFIs on the relative merits of this would be appreciated.*
