The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions is seeking an Assistant Director for our Community Development Investment Program (CDIP), based in New York City.*

The Federation is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization, founded in 1974.* We have a primary dues-paying membership of 225 credit unions serving low-income communities across the United States -- community development credit unions, or “CDCUs.”* In 1982 we founded one of the first community development finance intermediaries in the country, the Capitalization Program for CDCUs (recently renamed, the Community Development Investment Program, or “CDIP”).* Over the last 25 years, we have invested nearly $60 million in low-income credit unions, which we have raised from national and regional foundations, banks, social investors, and government. We are a certified community development financial institution (CDFI) and a leader of the CDFI movement nationally and in New York State.*

The CDIP currently manages approximately $35 million, which is invested in more than 100 CDCUs across the country as deposits, equity-like subordinated debt, and grants.* The Assistant Director is our key portfolio manager.* He/she will have extensive duties that include: marketing the program; underwriting applications from CDCUs; managing investment documentation; and reporting to funders.* He/she will supervise a Portfolio Associate and will be supervised by the Director of the CDIP.***
