Millions of low-income households spend precariously high percentages of their income for housing. National housing advocates have called for the creation of a National Affordable Housing Trust Fund. As currently envisioned, this Trust Fund would create a source of revenue for the production of 1.5 million units of affordable rental housing by 2010. Hundreds of organizations including leading smart growth advocates have endorsed the trust fund proposal. Join NNC to learn about the Housing Trust Fund Campaign and status of legislation and organizing efforts.
