New Filene Research Institute Study

Per the suggestion of Bill Myers I will be posting notifications of new
studies published by the Filene Research Institute which are of interest
to this listserv. Filene is a think tank which examines issues critical
to the future of consumer finance. Our research focus is credit unions,
yet we tend to examine issues from a broad function view.

Filene's newest study by Jim Wilcox, a professor of financial
institutions at UC-Berkeley, examines the determinants of credit union
and bank failures via a newly constructed database which analyzes data
from 1981-2005. Simply go to: www.filene.org and read the first story on
