Background:
Natural Capital Investment Fund (www.wvncif.org (http://www.wvncif.org/)) is a non-profit affiliate of The Conservation Fund (www.conservationfund.org (http://www.conservationfund.org/)), a national nonprofit environmental organization focused on both environmental protection and economic development.* The Natural Capital Investment Fund (NCIF) was established in 2000 to provide access to patient capital by natural resource based enterprises in rural West Virginia.* NCIF’s mission is to provide debt and equity financing to small and emerging natural resource-based businesses that will advance sustainable economic development throughout West Virginia, southwest Virginia and North Carolina.* NCIF's business clients are predominately located in economically distressed rural communities and are unable to access capital from traditional sources.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for generating new investment and loan volume in West Virginia and Southwest Virginia and servicing a loan portfolio that meets NCIF’s mission, financial and risk goals.* Applicant has option to work remotely from central WV.

Responsibilities: Actively prospects for development loan opportunities from multiple sources, solicits loan customers. Meets prospective borrowers, collects information, evaluates loan and equity requests, negotiates loan terms and conditions. * Underwrites loans in accordance with policy. Prepares detailed risk analysis of borrowers' repayment ability including financial and industry analysis of the borrowers' businesses. Prepare loan presentations, offer opinions on deal structure and creditworthiness, and participate in presentation and/or present loans to Investment Committee. Provide informal consulting services to clients regarding plans, projections and business practices. Monitor outstanding borrowers for conformance with loan and investment conditions, progress in meeting business goals, and overall business performance. Reports all emerging problem loans to management as soon as weaknesses are detected. Manage portfolio risk in accordance with industry and organization standards. Participate in collections and financial management of the portfolio as directed Participate fully with other members of the lending team on strategy, tactics and mission priorities.

Requirements:
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>High level of motivation and initiative. Capable of managing numerous responsibilities, client accounts and working with a rapidly growing loan portfolio.
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>Bachelor's degree, four years of college or equivalent experience required.*
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>Five years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>Thorough understanding of basic principles of accounting, finance and financial analysis required
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>Strong interpersonal, public speaking and writing skills required
<![if !supportLists]>·******** <![endif]>Proficiency in Excel and Word required
