Learn about “How Artists Can Use Cooperatives”

Who Should Attend:* All artists and art business operators including painters, sculptors, musicians, dancers, actors, art educators, media producers, craftseople, gallery and art school operators, folk artists, tour group operators, booking agencies, etc. that interested in finding ways to use cooperatives to market, distribute, produce or provide services to artlovers and communities.

What will be Covered:*Information about*how to form and use cooperatives or business associations to achieve business, service, production, merchandising*and studio/housing goals.

When will the Program be Offered:* The three hour long event is scheduled for Monday April 23 from 6 PM to 9 PM
*
Where will the Program be Offered:* The Rutgers EcoComplex* in Bordentown NJ (1/2 mile from I-295 Exit 52-A and four miles from NJ Turnpike Exit 6 -- see http://ecocomplex.rutgers.edu/)

Why*is the program important:* Artists will learn about how to achieve economies of scale in their efforts to market, sell, produce and deliver their work to art lovers, audiences and consumers

Join us for an informative workshop featuring*Panel discussions and Small Group Sessions led by representatives of the Keystone Development Cooperative and the Rutgers University Business Association Mentoring Program.* Hear about*MidAtlantic and other*artist cooperatives and learn about how artist incubators are operating in the United States and overseas.* A $10 fee covers materials and light evening refreshment costs.
