Business Programs Coordinator:

Opportunity to lead our nationally recognized Business Programs—the Micro Business Development Program and the Vermont Women’s Business Center—both of which help low and moderate income Vermonters start and grow businesses in our rural economy.* The successful candidate will have demonstrated successful experience in grant writing and resource development; in fiscal management and grant reporting; marketing; and project evaluation.* Applicants should have a BA or better in business, management, community economic development, or a related area. Experience in small business development or management and in managing employees and creating a productive work environment; a commitment to business development as a strategy for moving people out of poverty; an understanding of rural economic development; and a demonstrated sensitivity to the challenges faced by low income people.* The candidate must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office products and database systems; have excellent written and verbal skills; as well as excellent networking skills.
