As part of its broader anti-poverty initiative, the City of New York has*launched the Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) based at the Department of Consumer Affairs.*OFE's*mission*is to educate, empower, and protect workers with low incomes so they can make the best use of their financial resources.* This*comprehensive, citywide campaign*will*provide*residents living in poverty*with the tools needed to build savings and wealth.* The initiatives of OFE are designed to help low-income New Yorkers take the next steps on their economic path to financial stability and opportunity.
