Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit Union, a community development credit union located in Washington Heights, New York City, seeks a Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer who will be responsible for all aspects of credit union operations, member services, accounting functions and regulatory compliance.* *The COO is supervised by the Executive Director and will work closely with the Executive Director in implementing an ambitious credit union growth strategy.* The COO will also supervise a six-person staff.

Neighborhood Trust is a small but fast-growing credit union with $7 million in assets and 4,200 members, serving a predominantly Latino, low-income, immigrant community. Neighborhood Trust pursues its mission of financial empowerment with its nonprofit partner, Credit Where Credit Is Due, which provides financial education programs to complement the credit union’s services.

The COO’s responsibilities will include the following responsibilities: oversight of credit union operations and the delivery of all credit union financial services; management of bookkeeping and accounting to ensure sound and transparent financial statements; oversight of all internal controls and regulatory compliance; asset / liability management; supervision of five-person staff; ensuring that Neighborhood Trust is responsive to the diverse needs of our field of membership; and maximization of the credit union’s ability to serve low-income individuals.

Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit Union, a community development credit union located in Washington Heights, New York City, seeks a Loan Administrator who will manage the intake, processing, and servicing of personal, auto and microenterprise loans.* The Loan Administrator will be responsible for the tracking and analysis of this loan portfolio, and will participate in the development of new policies and products designed to better serve our members.* The Loan Administrator is expected to be a team player, working closely with all credit union staff, and committed to the credit union’s mission of financial empowerment and the cultivation of services targeted to the unbanked.* Neighborhood Trust is also committed to providing the Loan Administrator with significant training and career development opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: employment and/or academic experience in microlending and / or microentrepreneurship; excellent communication skills; ability to work well in an immigrant community; fluency in Spanish and English; commitment to community economic development and providing access to credit to underserved individuals; effective team player. Salary is commensurate with experience.
