Dear Colleagues:
*
As*has been discussed on this list serve in the past, many community based lenders have become unable to report the payment history of their borrowers to the credit bureaus.**This can prevent borrowers from repairing or building their credit histories and, if they choose, moving into the conventional credit system.

We are conducting a brief survey in order to gauge the market for this service that could report on behalf of community based lenders.* Please take a moment to* complete the survey found here:*

*
Many thanks!* The survey will be open until April 14th only, so please do it today!
*

Central Vermont Community Action and the Association for Enterprise Opportunity with support from the Center for Financial Services Innovation have undertaken a project to explore the barriers to credit bureau reporting and to create solutions.* These solutions* include working with the credit bureaus to have them eliminate the minimum number of accounts required to report to the credit bureaus and/or the creation of a national intermediary that could bundle smaller community based lenders accounts and report on their behalf.* This national intermediary--Credit Builders of America--is already in the development stages.* Credit Builders of America has a national board, a business plan under development as well as a governance structure, and is seeking its non-profit status.* This survey will provide information for*part of its market analysis.*
*
If have specific questions or ideas or want to get more involved in Credit Builders of America, please email our project coordinator, Karen Dabson,*directly at karen@orgment.org (karen@orgment.org)
*
Thanks and don't forget to take the survey:
