New York Law School and the Journal of Human Rights are sponsoring a
Symposium, "Financial Modernization: The Effect of the Repeal of the
Glass-Steagall Act on Consumers and Communities," on Tuesday, March 28,
2000 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. The Symposium will include a keynote
speaker, an overview of the Financial Services Modernization Act, and
two panels, "Financial Modernization: What's In It for Communities?"
and "Financial Modernization: Its Effect on Consumer Privacy and
