Dear Colleague:
I would like to ask your assistance with an important hiring search we are
beginning at WORC. We are seeking an energetic professional to develop and
implement the loan fund operations for existing loan products and to
develop and implement new debt and equity products.
The Women's Opportunities Resource Center (WORC) is a not-for-profit
organization headquartered in Philadelphia that promotes social and
economic self-sufficiency for economically disadvantaged women and their
families. WORC is nationally recognized for its microenterprise and
Individual Development Accounts (also known as the Family Savings Account
Program). WORC recently launched a new direct micro-loan fund through its
subsidiary organization, the Economic Opportunities Fund, to support our
clients and other micro-business owners in need of early stage financing
and related business assistance.
The Women's Opportunities Resource Center seeks a professional with a
strong background in small business finance; familiarity with local
financial, economic development and business assistance communities. S/he
will report to WORC's Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate
will be a mature individual with strong management, financial and
administrative skills. The ability to relate to diverse groups is essential.
A description of the position is enclosed. If you know of someone who
fulfills these qualifications we would welcome your recommendation. Please
feel free to circulate it or post it at your organization.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
