<x-flowed>Dear list participants,
I am trying to find samples of "actual strategic plans" that incorporate the
development and management of a revolving credit fund or a lending program.
My aim is to learn about methods of strategic planning in the field of
microfinance by studying existing management approaches. I will appreciate
very much your research input and any leads.
Regards,
Charles

Hi Charles,
The "Business Planning Guide and Handbook" published by the Neighborhood
Reinvestment Corporation (NRC) has a bibliography that includes specific
business and strategic plans created by various organizations. The 3 strategic
plans listed as available are:
*Allentown Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc., '94-96
*Neighborhood Housing Services, '96-98
*Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, Inc., 1997
The handbook was distributed at a great workshop held during last week's
Association for Enterprise conference (see www.microenterpriseworks.org). It
was called the "ABC's of business planning" and focused on the steps a nonprofit
would take to develop activities for a 12-18 month period. Business planning
assumes the organization has alredy gone through a long-range organizational
plan. You'll find an order form on the publications section of the
NeighborWorks website at www.nw.org. I assume they have the referenced
strategic plans available for distribution at their office also. Workshop
leader was Paula Zayas Planthaber and NRC's phone # is 202-376-2400.
