The Community Affairs Unit of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is
seeking a Community Affairs Specialist to work in San Francisco, CA.
Essential job functions include the following:
Responsible for assisting and planning meetings and developing products and
services which help banking organizations to meet the financial needs of low-
and moderate-income communities and individuals. Activities include completion
of research on community reinvestment issues, creation and/or compilation of
vehicles such as directories, community profiles, and special publications, and
preparation of speeches and discussion points that help Community Affairs staff
to educate bankers and community-based representatives about community
reinvestment issues and opportunities.
Position requirements include the following:
Minimum two years experience working with community-related issues; familiarity
with the Community Reinvestment Act; experience planning and coordinating
meetings, conferences or seminars; demonstrated business communication skills
including experience writing articles, reports, letters, and memos, plus
demonstrated public speaking ability; proven ability to perform research, draw
conclusions, and make recommendations; bachelor's degree from college or
university; and proficiency with MS Word, Access, Excel.
