Last month I sent out a query seeking information on the demand for
capital from faith-based lenders to support CDFI expansion in New
England. I received helpful and encouraging responses from so many
people that I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to all of
you who responded and who passed the request on to others.
We at the Episcopal City Mission are moving forward in our discussions
with Church leaders at the regional level, and based on your feedback,
will be making recommendations to the Bishops in the coming months. As
we develop our plans, I will try to keep folks informed. In the
meantime, if others who have not contacted me would like to comment on
the capacity to absorb additional capital and the demand for loans in
your local area (in New England), I would welcome your input.
