have heard of a new initiative HUB as it relates to business and economic
development can you provide any information on this subject. Where on the net

HUB zones are a new initiative that is managed by the SBA. You can find out more,
I believe, on the SBA's web site (sba.gov). The program was a republican
initiative to encourage federal contracting on a place-based basis. It was
introduced to deflect criticism of republican attacks on affirmative action
contracting programs like 8a.
