Greetings from (partially) sunny Southern California! I'd like to
deviate from this forum's norm a bit. I'm in danger of seeing my bank
consulting business fail and wish to explore yet another direction to
keep it alive.
During the past two years, I've operated as an independent management
consultant to financial institutions, specializing in real estate
appraisal and related activities. My clients have generally called on
me to develop for them appraisal and quality control guidelines
consistent with current regulations and industry standard practices, or
to plan and assist in re-engineering existing valuation operations.
Through my affiliations with American banking organizations, I've
become quite familiar with the Community Reinvestment Act and its
application and with fair lending issues.
This forum has raised my interest in exploring the world of community
development. Perhaps some of you monitoring the forum own or manage
institutions involved in residential real estate lending. I would be
most interested in discussing with you a short- or long-term consulting
relationship. Should you have an interest - even a marginal interest -
please do not hesitate to contact me via the Internet at
fingers@altair.net.
