Dear Colleagues:
Thanks to your hard work and phone calls, the Repulican leadership withdrew
HR 10 from the House floor yesterday. However, we cannot rest. The
leadership will try to bring HR 10 back when Congress returns from its
recess the week of April 20. We do not know what form HR 10 will be in or
whether it will have the Bachus anti-CRA amendment. There will be
dealmaking when Congress gets back.
It is still important to write the letters and make the phone calls. Also,
since the Representatives will be in their home districts, arrange meetings
with them in their District offices during the next few weeks.
