Dear Maryellen and the CDB-list:

In answer to your question, here are the groups Calvert Social Investment
Foundation is invested in, or committed to invest in, or for which Calvert
Foundation acts in an administrative capacity for certain Calvert Group Ltd
Mutual Funds. Loosely defined this defines our core 'CDFI'
universe...although we are constantly adding groups as we grow. Currently
these portfolios represent roughly $21 million in investment. The 28
profiles we worked up initially were drawn from this list, as will the
additional groups for this summer. There are banks and credit unions mixed
in here, although these have historically not been the first emphasis of
Calvert Foundation's facility, because they are insured vehicles, and our
mission is to responsibly channel capital to uninsured loan funds.
